About us.
The team here at Nicola Johnson Physiotherapy all have complimentary physiotherapy skills.
We seek to help you understand your presenting problem, will help you to reduce your symptoms where we can and optimise your function in a caring, empathetic environment suited to your situation.
We love to collaborate and frequently learn from one another. Rest assured that we regularly discuss cases in a confidential manner to ensure that decisions for your ongoing care are made in an optimal and timely manner. Each one of us is highly trained, but have subtly differing approaches, making it a healthy environment to bring the best of care for you.
Between us, we offer appointments on every weekday, and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings until 9pm, to ensure that we have flexibility in offering appointment times
A physiotherapist whose name is followed by the letters MCSP (Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists) or FCSP (Fellow of the Chartered Society) guarantees that their qualification is recognised; that they are governed by a professional code of conduct and they are covered by professional liability insurance.

Meet the team…
Nicola Johnson
Nicola qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1987 and early in her career completed a post-graduate course to become a member of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MMACP).
With over 35 years experience within the NHS treating patients with muscle and joint problems, she has held senior clinical specialist and managerial positions demanding high clinical standards. Nicola has worked in Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner roles. She has also supported many physiotherapists as pre-graduate and post-graduate developing physiotherapy skills working alongside her in clinical practice. Nicola has also been a clinical examiner for post-graduate courses in Manipulative Physiotherapy.
Claire Hunt
Claire has over 30 years of experience within the NHS treating patients with muscle and joint problems. She has worked as an Advanced Practitioner in an Emergency Department locally for many years.
Her career path has enabled her to develop an expertise in the assessment and treatment of injuries resulting from sport and exercise in people of all ages and ability levels.
Helen Ryder
Helen is a Chartered Musculoskeletal and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and a Pilates Practitioner. Having started her career in the world of dance as a performer and producer, her fascination with the body and how it moves led her to retrain as a Physiotherapist in some of London’s leading NHS and Private clinics achieving a Masters (pre-reg).
She has spent the past 10 years working in the NHS and privately covering specialities in musculoskeletal, persistent pain management and pelvic health. She is a member of CSP, affiliate member of the Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy and Physio First.
Glenn Enright
As a graduate physiotherapist Glenn, gained valuable experience through various specialities within the NHS, before concentrating on his chosen speciality of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He has a wide range of experience working extensively within the NHS and in private practice, primarily in the field of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions with further qualifications in Level 4 Strength & Conditioning CIMSPA endorsed.
His interest for treating patients comes from the satisfaction of getting to the root cause of problems and allowing patients to maximise their quality of life. He has a passion for making a real difference to people’s lives by understanding their individual goals and bringing successful and lasting results.
